Over the past two months we’ve seen our design team grow. We thought it would be a great idea to ask our new starters some quick-fire questions so that we (and you) can get to know them better.

Ryan is a recent Reading University graduate with a passion for finding and eating fast food- yum!

What made you want to work at TDL?

R: I like the technicality of the job at TDL, and the information design approach that thinks about usability before anything else.

If you could design one thing what would it be?

R: Graphics to go on a snowboard.

If you had to frame one piece of graphic design what would it be?

R: Any landscape woodblock prints by Hokusai.

What’s your “party trick”?

R: Eating a biscuit from my forehead using just my face.

You’re having a TV marathon this weekend. Which box set would you choose and which snacks would you provide?

R: Breaking Bad and sushi.

Who would be your dream client and why?

R: TFL because I could see some of my work everyday! But really I’m happy with any client that gives me full control on the creative side.

How do you embody the TDL team values? (creative & innovative, enthusiastic team, responsive & reliable)

R: Creative & innovative: keeping an active eye out for good designs on the web and during everyday life.

Enthusiastic team: active talking and questioning with the team, engaging in work socials and Friday drinks!

Responsive & reliable: being committed and happy to take on any challenges, organising and prioritising jobs by writing them down.

What are three things you’d love to learn this year?

R: The crazy computer shortcuts to save my time, how to land a 360 on a snowboard, how to make sushi.

You’re organising the TDL Christmas party- where do you send us?

R: Christmas holiday somewhere? Would be ideal if it is somewhere with snow and a mountain…

Think about your job role at TDL- which animal best represents you at work and why?

R: A cat because I can easily just put my headphones on and get on with the work.
